On Tuesday 4th December, we were the proud host school for the prestigious Diana Award Anti-Bullying Ambassador training programme, where we welcomed pupils and staff from 7 other Greater Manchester schools to take part in a highly enjoyable and rigorous training programme.
The Diana Award was founded as a legacy to the late Princess Diana, Princess of Wales’ belief that young people have the power to change the world for the better. The aim of the training programme was to:
- Encourage young people to contribute positively to their community.
- Empower young people to achieve their full potential.
- Engage young people in social action to make a difference in the life of others.
We are delighted to report that we now have 13 fully trained Anti-Bullying Ambassadors across Year 7-10 who are excited to now help support their peers as they actively seek to promote and uphold our school’s zero tolerance approach to bullying and continue to celebrate and value our differences. Look out for regular updates from the Ambassadors via our termly newsletter and their stall at forthcoming Parents’ Evenings.
