Education is always more successful when a school works with parents and carers. The Barlow RC High School’s Parent Hub has been designed to ensure that parents and carers, in conjunction with staff, can have a meaningful influence on both the operation and strategic direction of the school. The school holds Parents Hub meetings throughout the school academic year, this years meetings are on:

2020- 2021 Dates – 17:30pm – 18:30pm

  • Wednesday 18th November 2020

  • Wednesday 10th March 2021

  • Wednesday 16th June 2021

There is an open invitation to all parents to attend the Parent Hub but we do ask that you confirm your attendance so we can select a suitable meeting location and order refreshments. Meetings will take place at 5.30pm – 6.30pm.  If you would like to attend, please confirm your attendance with Mrs Nicola Cooke on 0161 445 8053 or email

Although not a decision making body, the Parent Hub has the opportunity to influence decisions through an open dialogue. We aim to develop a stronger partnership with parents by improving communication.

Issues that have been discussed at the forum include:

  • School development planning
  • Cost of school trips
  • Parents’ Evenings
  • School policies
  • Sex Education
  • Lockers
  • Homework Policy
  • Changes to examinations
